What it actually does
Claudia runs an agent loop on the device. It reads what you asked, decides whether a tool would help, runs it, and answers with the result in hand. Anything that writes to your phone shows up as a card you confirm first.

Say it out loud and get a plan back
Voice mode listens, works out the steps, and reads the result back to you. Speech is transcribed on your device by default, and cloud transcription is an opt-in you have to turn on yourself.

Every answer can show its receipt
Open the receipt on a turn and read which lane ran, which AI model service saw the request, and whether anything left the phone at all. Privacy you can check beats privacy you have to believe.

It admits what it cannot do
When Claudia cannot answer something well, it says so and offers the tool that can. Actions like opening Maps, drafting a message or creating a reminder wait for your tap before anything happens.

This is the whole architecture. There is no third box.

The provider you chose
Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Google, Cerebras, xAI or Kimi, on your own account and your own key.
A PrentusAI server. Not in this path. We do not run a proxy, we never receive your messages, and there is no conversation archive on our side.
Said precisely
- Keys. Stored in the iOS Keychain, one entry per provider.
- Chats and memory. Held in the app's private on-device storage. Claudia does not add its own encryption layer on top, so what protects them is iOS and your device passcode. We will not call that encrypted, because it is not ours to claim.
- Analytics. None. No analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDK is compiled into the app.
- What reaches your provider. The messages and context needed to answer the turn, sent by your phone under your key, governed by that provider's own policy.
- Deleting. Settings, then Privacy and Memory, then Delete all data. Removing the app does the same thing.
Bring the AI you already pay for
Claudia does not resell AI. You connect an account you already have, and you pay that provider directly for what you use. No markup sits in the middle, and there is no Claudia subscription on top.

Reminders and calendar
Create, read, complete and clear reminders and events. Every write is a card you confirm, and reminders now carry your device time zone.
Memory you control
Claudia remembers what you tell it to remember, keeps it on the device, and lets you read, edit or delete any of it.
Web search with sources
Ask about something current and Claudia searches, then cites what it read. Availability depends on the provider you connected.
Documents and images
Share a PDF, a photo or a screenshot and ask questions about it. Claudia can also write a document back out to your files.
Drafts, never sends
Messages and emails come back as drafts in your own apps. Claudia writes the words. You are the one who hits send.
Three voice options
The device voice runs entirely on your iPhone at no cost. ElevenLabs and OpenAI voices are available if you bring a key for them.
What it is not
The honest limits, in the same place as the promises.
- iPhone only. There is no Android app, no iPad app and no web version.
- No account, and therefore no sync. Your conversations live on one device. Nothing follows you to a second phone, and nothing survives deleting the app.
- Not a model. Claudia is the assistant around the model, so it needs a key from a provider before it can think.
- Not a silent actor. It asks before it writes to your calendar, reminders, contacts, files or messages.
- Not infallible. Language models get things wrong with total confidence. Check anything that matters, and read the receipt when you want to know what really happened.
Questions people actually ask
Do I need to pay for a Claudia subscription?
No. The app is free to install and there is no subscription owed to PrentusAI. What you pay for is the AI provider you connect, billed by them, on your own account, at their rates.
Are my conversations encrypted?
Your API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Your conversations and memory sit in the app's private storage on the device, protected by iOS and your passcode rather than by a separate encryption layer that Claudia adds. We would rather tell you that plainly than use the word encrypted loosely.
Can PrentusAI read my chats?
No, and not because of a policy promise. The app has no server to send them to. Requests go from your phone straight to the AI provider you configured, so there is no copy on our side to read, hand over or lose. Which AI provider should I connect?
If you already pay for one, use it. If you are starting from scratch, OpenRouter connects with a single tap, covers most major models under one account, and starts on free models only. The setup guide walks through both paths.
Does Claudia track how I use it?
No. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting SDK and no advertising SDK in the app, and it sends no usage data to us. The install and deletion numbers we can see are Apple's own App Store figures, which every developer receives and which say nothing about what happens inside the app.
What happens if I delete the app?
Everything goes with it. Conversations, memory and generated files exist only in the app's storage on that device. There is no cloud backup on our side, which also means we cannot restore anything for you.
