Claudia Terms of Service

The terms that govern use of Claudia, the iOS personal AI assistant.

Effective date: May 20, 2026
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Applies to: Claudia, an iOS personal AI assistant published by PrentusAI LLC.

By installing or using Claudia, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Claudia is

Claudia is a personal AI assistant that runs on your iPhone. It uses AI models from third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others) that you configure with your own API keys. PrentusAI LLC publishes Claudia but does not provide the underlying AI services.

2. Your account and your keys

Exception — Apple App Store Review builds: copies of Claudia built for App Store Review include a PrentusAI-provided Anthropic API key with a strict spend cap for the sole purpose of allowing Apple's reviewers to evaluate the app. Public App Store downloads do not contain this key.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Claudia to:

We may, in future versions, add safety filters or block certain prompts to comply with provider terms or law. Claudia today already refuses certain categories (weapons, self-harm without supportive routing, malware) at the system-prompt level. This is intentional.

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

AI models can produce inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate content. Claudia is a tool; you are the operator. Do not rely on Claudia's output for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other consequential decisions without independent verification. PrentusAI LLC is not liable for outcomes that result from acting on AI-generated content.

5. Data and privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the separate Privacy Policy at https://prentusai.com/privacy-claudia. The short version: your data lives on your device; we do not have a server in the path.

6. Third-party services

Claudia integrates with third-party services (AI providers, optionally Google Gmail and Drive, and weather/geocoding APIs). Use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes, or actions.

7. Updates and changes

We may update Claudia and these terms over time. Material changes will be noted in App Store release notes. Continuing to use a new version means you accept the changes; if you don't accept, you can uninstall the app.

8. Disclaimers

CLAUDIA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CLAUDIA WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRENTUSAI LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF CLAUDIA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID PRENTUSAI LLC FOR CLAUDIA IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You paid Apple, not us; we do not receive subscription or purchase revenue for Claudia at this time. Liability is correspondingly limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
